"Liberty Style" at Teatro Regio Parma
A press conference was held in Parma on 7 April 2017 to announce the launch of Amakheru Duo’s “Liberty Style” project at the city’s Teatro Regio on 7 May. The concert is part of the Musica in Circolo series, promoted by Associazione Rinascimento 2.0.
For the occasion, the Amakheru Duo, who have devoted much time to revitalising Italian Belcanto chamber singing, will present a collection of rare works and other more popular compositions, treating the audience to an exquisite taste of the Belle Époque.
The “Liberty Style” concert aims to enrapture and captivate in the same way as the music of that period. The programme includes Romances and Serenades from albums by Ruggero Leoncavallo, Giacomo Puccini and Pietro Mascagni; chamber Arias using original poetic texts, such as those resulting from the collaboration between Francesco Paolo Tosti and Gabriele D’Annunzio; stile antico Arias by Stefano Donaudy and absolute rarities by Luigi Denza, Ernesto De Curtis and Giuseppe Silvestri.
